The AER Centre, Shimla is a H.P. University maintained institution governed under the rules and regulations of the H.P. University, Shimla. The Vice-Chancellor, H.P. University, Shimla or his nominee is the Chairman of the Advisory Committee (AC). The AC works under the general control and supervision of the Executive Council of the H.P. University, Shimla.

This is one of the 12 AER Centers established by the Government of India. The AERC Shimla has been integrated with Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla w.e.f 1.4.1995 vide notification No.3-5/94-HPU (Genl) Vol-VI Dated 8th August, 2011.

Advisory Committee

The Committee is constituted for advise on technical administrative and financial matters. The Committee is constituted for the period of 3 years. The Committee meets twice a year under the Chairmanship of Vice Chancellor. Presently the Advisory Committee has following members.
