A team of Professors and students of Bridgewater State University, USA visited the H. P. University

Dr Matin Grossman and Dr Madhusudana N Rao of Bridgewater State University, Massachusetts, USA visited Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla on July 18, 2013. Accompanying them were three undergraduate students, Steven Spicer (Management), Eliott Rousseau (Anthropology), and Darwin Westhesser (Earth Science) who are conducting a multidisciplinary research project on the impact of small hydroelectric projects on sustainable development in Himachal Pradesh. The team visited Agro-Economic Research Centre and discuss relevant issues related to resettlement and rehabilitation, environment and socio economic aspects of hydroelectric development in Himachal Pradesh with Dr Ranveer Singh and Dr C. S. Vaidya.

The team also met with the vice chancellor, Prof. ADN Bajpai to discuss potential of student and faculty exchange and research opportunities between the two institutions. To explore the possibilities of collaboration Vice Chancellor has instructed to convene a meeting of Dean of studies, Dean Faculties of H.P. University alongwith the visitors.
